Freedom Baptist Church is a new and growing independent Baptist Church in Fort Chiswell, Virginia. A conservative independent Baptist Church with a both a hatred for sin and a love for sinners makes for a very unique and Biblically minded church.
The Freedom Baptist Church is an Independent Baptist Church with a love for both Christ and community. Out heart's genuine desire is to serve as a lighthouse to our community, our Commonwealth, and our country. We invite you to join us and come experience the Spirit of the Lord in a true and Biblical way.
We desire to see our church grow, for no other reason than to see souls saved and lives changed for the better.
Our heart's genuine prayer is that God will give us a heart for people. It is our desire to see people from all different backgrounds and with all different needs get the help they so desperately require. We realize that behind so many smiling faces are hurting hearts and we hope to be used by God to meet whatever need it is that people may be experiencing.
Pastor Jeremy T.K. Farley Growing up in rural Southwest Virginia has given Pastor Farley a heart for his community and neighbors. Jeremy was brought up on a farm in Graham's Forge and attended both Max Meadows Elementary School and Fort Chiswell High School, before graduating from Granite Christian Academy in Wytheville. After graduating high school, Jeremy attended college at Victory Baptist College in South Carolina. It was there in South Carolina that he first realized that he was lost without Christ and fell under deep conviction. "It wasn't until my third semester of Bible college that the Lord began convicting me to be saved. Although I had attended a Baptist church for years and sat under some of the best preaching of my time, the truth of the matter is that all I had was religion without a relationship with Christ. I soon found myself running from God and doing my very best to fight off the convicting power of God. By Friday of the following week the conviction was simply too much, that evening I knelt before God and personally asked Christ to be my PERSONAL Savior. Within days of my salvation, the Lord confirmed to me that I should be a preacher of His Word. The Lord has blessed in a great and wonderful way and I look forward to serving Him in many more avenues throughout the days to come. Pastor Farley went on to graduate from Bible college earning a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries from the Victory Baptist College in North Augusta, SC. After graduating, Jeremy prayed extensively for the Lord's guidance and direction and he feels a deep conviction that the Lord would have him launch the Freedom Baptist Church. Now, the Freedom Baptist School of the Bible is the latest venture that he and the members of the Freedom Baptist Church have followed the Lord in. We invite you to join us as together we create a Christian heritage!
