Our Beliefs

What does it mean to be a Baptist?

B-   Biblical Authority
Isaiah 40.8; II Timothy 3.16-17; I Peter 1.24-25; II Peter 1.19-21
The Bible is our sole source of faith and principle

A-   Autonomy of the Local Church
Acts 13.1-4; 15.19-31; 20.28; Romans 16.1, 4; I Corinthians 3.9, 16; 5.4-7, 13; I Peter 5.1-4
Each New Testament church in the Bible was self governing, free of any external control (whether it be a government, a convention, or any other entity).

P-   Priesthood of Believers
I Timothy 2.1-6I Peter 2.5, 9; Hebrews 4.14-16; 10.19-22; Revelation 1.6
Every born-again believer has direct access to God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ.  We neither have to go to men to receive forgiveness nor access from God, but enter into His throne room ourselves through His blood.

T-   Two Church Ordinances
Matthew 28.19-20; Acts 2.41-42; 18.18; I Corinthians 11.23-26
Baptism & The Lord's Supper- each to be administered by the local church for born again members in good standing in the local church.

I-   Individual Soul Liberty
Romans 10; 14.1-23; I Corinthians 3.11-15; II Corinthians 5.9-10
God created man with a freewill.  Ultimately the choice concerning one's salvation is theirs.  God supplied the route to Himself through Jesus, but it is man that must make the decision to accept Him.

S-   Separation of Church and State
Matthew 28.19-20; Acts 2.41-42; 18.18; I Corinthians 11.23-26
Jesus spoke that our kingdom is not of this world.  We believe that our nation should return to its Godly principles which made this nation great before its too late, however, the purpose of church is not to run government nor to be ran by government but to carry out the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.

T-   Two Church Offices
Ephesians 4.11; I Timothy 3.1-7; Titus 1.5-9
Pastors & Deacons

S-   Security of Believers
John 6.37-40; 10.27-30; Romans 8.1, 39-36; I Corinthians 1.4-8; I Peter 1.4-5
Upon accepting Jesus as personal Savior, the scripture teaches that Christ immediately gives us eternal life.  A thorough study of scriptures will reveal that salvation is not earned by man's works therefore it can not be maintained by man's works.  We are kept saved by the same thing that saved us- the blood of Jesus Christ.  A true born again believer will be changed from  the inside out.

The Freedom Baptist School of the Bible is a conservative, independent, Baptist educational institution.

We use only the King James Version Bible.

The purpose of the Freedom Baptist School of the Bible is not to convert individuals to become Baptists or to entrench individuals into a religious rut, but rather to introduce as many as possible to the Savior, Jesus Christ, by means of educating Christians in the Word of God, making them greater assets for their local church.

We are unapologetically Baptist in doctrine-  We hold to the fundamentals of our faith and feel that although the term "Baptists" has only been around for roughly 500 years, the doctrine that we hold is the same as the disciples of Christ.

In honor of our Christian heritage and for the purpose of the preservation of the truth, we use only the Authorized King James Version Bible.
